Grammar explanations

In case
We use in case lớn express that we are doing something in preparation for something which might happen.Take an umbrella in case it rains!I"ll buy some more wine in case this bottle is not enough.

In case of
We use in case of to lớn say what we should bởi vì if or when something happens.In case of fire, leave the building as quickly as possible.(= ‘If there is a fire, leave the building.’)

As long as
We use as long as to lớn express a condition, i.e. To say that something will happen only on condition that something else happens.

I"ll lend you the book as long as you promise lớn give me it back next week.(= If you don"t promise lớn give the book back next week, I will not lend you it.)

As long as expresses that one thing depends on another.

You can go to lớn the các buổi party as long as you come back before midnight.(= You can go to the party, but you must promise to lớn be back before midnight.)

As long as has the same meaning as if, providing & provided.

We use unless lớn say that there may be an exception & that this exception will change the situation.

We"re playing tennis tomorrow unless it rains.(= We"re playing tennis tomorrow. However, one exception could change our plans – rain.)

Don"t go there unless he tells you to.(= Don"t go there, except if he tells you khổng lồ go.)

We use the present tense after unless when referring lớn the future.

The examples are good. Thank you. But I think there is a mistake in the explanation of the 1st example for ‘as long as’. It is written: (= If you don’t promise to give the book back next week, I will not lend you it.) It should be: (= If you don’t promise to give the book back next week, I will not lend it lớn you.)
